About Us

Pyrotechnics Industry Association of Australia Incorporated-PIAA was established in 2005 and represents members from across Australia.

The aims of the PIAA are to:

  • To encourage safety in the design and use of all types of fireworks, pyrotechnics and special effects.
  • To provide industry information and support to our members.
  • To encourage and facilitate the development and delivery of training specific to the Pyrotechnics industry.
  • To promote responsible regulation of the Pyrotechnics Industry.
  • To be the advocate on behalf of the Pyrotechnics industry at all levels of government and to the broader community.
  • To co-operate with members in all States and Territories of Australia to develop a national consensus on issues affecting the Pyrotechnics Industry.

  • FAC QLD Mines & Energy
  • Vic WorkSafe
  • SA WorkSafe
  • Australian Standards
  • AEC
  • Other government departments and agencies
  • To be the advocate on behalf of the Pyrotechnics industry at all levels of government and to the broader community.
